Chỉ việc bị xem là ngược lẽ thường theo quan niệm cũ, nhất là khi người con gái chủ động bày tỏ tình cảm hoặc theo đuổi người con trai. Ở dị bản này, hình ảnh “chạc” nhấn vào vật dùng để dắt, buộc trâu đi tìm trâu, nên sắc thái trêu chọc, chê bai vẫn giữ nguyên.
